Your Patient and Gentle Path at The Meadows
- Every patient at Gentle Path at The Meadows is assigned a primary therapist, family therapist, attending psychiatrist, and a medical professional as part of their treatment team.
- Additional treatment team members include 24-hour nursing staff, evening and weekend counselors, and a Trauma Resolution Therapist for Somatic Experiencing and EMDR.
- Either a primary therapist or a family therapist facilitates all group sessions, and group sizes range from five to eight patients per group.
Not Just Addiction
For many years, the term “recovery” was thought to relate to addiction alone. At Gentle Path at The Meadows, we focus on recovery from trauma, whether related to addiction, family-of-origin issues, or abuse in any form. We believe trauma affects everyone in different ways and requires its unique recovery process.
In some cases, your patient might have unique needs that require special attention. Call ahead and speak with an admissions coordinator to determine if Gentle Path at The Meadows can accommodate your patient’s specific situation.
Understanding The Screening Process
All patients admitted to Gentle Path at The Meadows must undergo a routine screening process designed to locate critical factors that can determine a patient’s viability, including:
- Co-occurring disorders
- Recent hospitalizations
- Preexisting medical conditions
- Acting out history
We understand our role as stewards in the care of your patient, and we take every precaution to ensure that he receives the level of care needed to either continue or begin the road to healing.
