In the following excerpt from the webinar, Dr. Sarr looks at the patterns of addiction interaction in young adults and the ways in which chemicals, gaming, sexual acting out, pornography, and more affect our younger generation. Dr. Sarr describes patterns of cross-tolerance, alternating cycles, ritualizing, disinhibiting, fusion, and more. Addiction interactions can occur between chemicals such as alcohol and drugs or between process addictions such as sex addiction and food/eating disorders.
In the full video, Dr. Sarr describes the addiction interaction between drugs, sex, and technology as we have seen it play out in patients at the Meadows Behavioral Healthcare family of specialized treatment programs. To view the full recording of the webinar go to https://youtu.be/-BZjKV5onmw.
